I am a post doctoral researcher at the University of Delaware's School of Marine Science and Policy working with Professors Denny Kirwan and Helga Huntley. Our research involves measurement, modeling, and simulation of oceanographic flows. We use Lagrangian analysis techniques to study transport and mixing in the ocean. Our research goals include improving these Lagrangian methods, gaining a better understanding of transport mechanisms in the ocean in particular at the submesoscales, and applying this knowledge to better predict and control the spread of materials in the ocean. Funding for this research comes from GoMRI through CARTHE and from ONR through Ocean 3D+1. My other research interests include turbulence modeling and numerical analysis.
